I was so wrong about this...
For over a decade I struggled with symptoms of hormonal imbalances that worsened my menstrual health leading to extremely painful periods (dysmenorrhea). Like most of you, I thought that this was just a "normal" part of being/ becoming a woman...but I was so wrong about this.
In fact, while some uncomfortable symptoms are common, intensely painful periods are not normal. It is our body's way of signaling that our hormones are out of balance and in need of support.
Here's what happened next...
After a life-changing trip to the ER I realized that it was time to take control of my menstrual health. I spent the next 6 years investing in my education in both nutrition and hormone health, and acquired a wealth of knowledge that has completely transformed the way that I care for myself as a woman.
